Welcome, my name is El

For most of my life I have been curious about human behaviour and emotions, and I have always understood the world mainly through my body.

 

After years working in Outdoor Education, guiding people through physical and emotional challenges in nature, I began to recognise how deeply the nervous system shapes the way we move through life. My own experience of burnout and nervous system dysregulation led me into breathwork and somatic practices, and through that journey, Eluminate was formed.

The work I focus on is helping discharge accumulated sympathetic energy from the body (this could be from years of being in a stress response).

The body knows how to move through emotions, however our mind and conditioning stops the process. Through breath, movement and body work techniques, you let your body know it is safe to let go.

BBTRS® (Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System) combines breath, sound, touch, movement, emotion, and meditation to help the nervous system return to balance while allowing sensations, energy, and emotion to flow safely and naturally.

I provide a space for you to access the innate wisdom that already lives inside you. This work is about reshaping the nervous system from developmental patterns or unprocessed emotions, while recognising that no two nervous systems are the same.

Education around the nervous system is imperative. When you understand what is happening in your body, you begin to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. Catharsis isn’t always necessary to release emotions — often it is about gently bringing awareness to the parts of you that you have become disconnected from.

Healing from overwhelm or dysregulation takes time. It requires presence, slowness, and a gentle approach. I meet your nervous system exactly where it’s at.

Why This Matters

It is important to realise that we shift into flight/fight mode subconsciously, without this awareness you could be living in an overactive sympathetic state.

We don't get taught how to understand our bodily responses. Actually, we get taught to numb or ignore them, yet this is one of the main reasons why people are so sick and exhausted because of long term dysregulation or unprocessed trauma responses in their systems.

 

Learning about and healing your nervous system will make you feel empowered, will make you a better human, and have better relationships with yourself, others and the world around you.

The Method

My sessions follow a framework that moves through four stages: awareness, practice, embodiment, and maintenance.

 

It begins with awareness,  learning to notice patterns in the body, your nervous system, and the sensations and emotions that arise. From there we move into practice, using breath, movement, sound, and guided exercises to support the body in processing stored tension. Over time this develops into embodiment — building the capacity to recognise and respond to emotions rather than react to them. Finally, maintenance becomes part of everyday life, continuing practices that support regulation, awareness, and connection to the body.

Using 6 main methods:

  • Breath

  • Movement

  • Sound

  • Touch / Bodywork

  • Meditation

  • Conscious emotional expression

These methods work directly with the nervous system to release stored tension, restore natural rhythms, and rebuild capacity.
